- Initiative honours successful women in the workplace and their achievements
- Awarded for the first time in Austria in 2015
Creative Director Grit Seymour of the traditional Vorarlberg-based company Wolford has won the look! business award in the Design and Fashion category. The award ceremony took place as part of a festive gala yesterday evening at the Park Hyatt in Vienna. The prize, which was awarded in Austria for the first time, honours the achievements of women in the workplace for the local economy.
“I am particularly happy to receive this award because it’s not just about achievement in a career, but also takes into account the fact that many women who work also have to balance this with children and family ‘on the side’”, says Grit Seymour, who has a daughter. “Being a working mum is certainly a challenge, yet I can’t think of anything more fulfilling, personally. It’s great that the look! business award honours such women in particular.”
Grit Seymour has been Creative Director of Wolford since November 2014. In this key role, she is responsible for brand design and brand appearance.
The award honours the successful careers of women in the workplace and their achievements for the Austrian economy – particularly with regard to the careful balance between work and home life. The price was awarded in nine different categories: banks and insurance; education and training; design and fashion; services; entrepreneurship; retail, industry and technology; sustainability; one-person enterprises and small business.
